Why a bridal set?
A bridal set is an engagement ring and wedding band made as a matching pair, so there are no gaps and no rubbing between them. Most of our sets use a jacket: two diamond-set bands that wrap around the engagement ring and frame the centre stone. Wear the engagement ring on its own until the wedding, then add the jacket on the day.
Why 18ct rose gold?
18ct rose gold is 75% pure gold, warmed to a soft pink by a little copper in the alloy. It is not plated, so the colour never wears off, and it is slightly harder than yellow gold. Yes. The bands are made to fit the engagement ring, so you can add them nearer the wedding. Already have a ring? See wedding ring jackets.
No. The colour comes from the copper in the alloy, all the way through the metal, so there is no plating to wear off. If anything, rose gold warms slightly with age.
