Round Stones only
Diamond CUT GRADE was introduced by the GIA for round stones only in 2006 that’s why you don’t generally see it listed on fancy shapes.
Â
We where there
ComparetheDiamond.com (formerly diamondgeezer.com) were one of the few UK manufacturing jewellers to be invited to the Antwerp launch.
Â
A Duplicated Principle
Other gem laboratories have seen the need to follow, to emulate(?) the GIA and some specify cut on fancy shapes.
Â
Only their opinion
It is interesting to see that other cutters & gemmologists are beginning to apply cut grades to other shapes, these may or may not be listed on the certificate and must be viewed as the seller’s opinion.
