18ct White Gold Pear Shape Trilogy (3 Stone) Engagement Rings

18ct white gold pear shape trilogy (3 stone) engagement rings, handmade to order by our family workshop in the Cotswolds and set with a diamond you choose yourself. The pear shape is a teardrop diamond, rounded at one end and pointed at the other, with plenty of sparkle. A trilogy ring sets three diamonds side by side, often said to stand for your past, present and future.

The pear shape diamond

The pear is a brilliant cut shaped like a teardrop. It mixes the sparkle of a round with the length of a marquise, so it looks larger than its weight and lengthens the finger. Most people wear it with the point towards the fingertip. The side stones are matched to the pear centre diamond so the three sit in proportion.

Why a trilogy ring?

A trilogy, or 3 stone, ring sets a centre diamond between two smaller side stones. It gives a wider, fuller look across the finger than a solitaire, and the three stones are often said to stand for your past, present and future together.

Why 18ct white gold?

18ct white gold is 75% pure gold, alloyed with white metals and finished with rhodium plating for a bright, mirror-white shine. It costs less than platinum and is lighter on the finger. As the plating wears, usually over a year or two, a hint of warmth can show; a quick re-plate brings it back. Want to spend less again? See our 9ct white gold engagement rings.

Choosing your pear diamond

A ratio between 1.45 and 1.75 gives the classic teardrop. Look for even, rounded shoulders and a bow tie that is faint rather than dark. The point is protected by a claw on all our pear settings.

Choose your own diamond

Every ring is set with a centre diamond you choose yourself, natural or lab-grown, from our live stock. Each stone has its grading report, and the ring page shows the finished price before you buy.
