The round brilliant is cut for maximum sparkle. Its 57 facets are arranged to send as much light as possible back out of the top of the stone, which is why it hides small inclusions and a touch of colour better than any other shape. It suits every setting and every hand, and will never date. The bezel traces the outline of the round diamond in a clean line of metal.
Why a bezel setting?
A bezel wraps a smooth rim of metal right round the diamond instead of holding it with claws. It protects the edge of the stone, sits low on the finger and has nothing to catch on clothes or hair, so it suits an active life and everyday wear.

Cut grade matters more on a round diamond than on any other shape, because the round is graded for cut. Choose Excellent or Very Good for the best sparkle. Because rounds hide colour and inclusions well, a G to H colour and SI1 clarity often looks just as good face up as a far pricier stone.

Every ring is made to order in our family workshop in Bourton-on-the-Water, where we have made fine jewellery since 1969. We use 100% recycled precious metal, every ring is independently hallmarked, and each one takes 3 to 4 weeks. Delivery is free across the UK, and returns are free within 30 days.
