Platinum is naturally white, so it never needs re-plating, and it is dense and hard-wearing, which keeps claws and small diamonds secure for decades.

The round brilliant is cut for maximum sparkle. Its 57 facets are arranged to send as much light as possible back out of the top of the stone, which is why it hides small inclusions and a touch of colour better than any other shape. It suits every setting and every hand, and will never date.
Why platinum?
We use 950 platinum, hallmarked in the UK. It is about 95% pure, so it is naturally white all the way through and never needs re-plating. It is heavier than gold and very hard-wearing: rather than wearing away, the metal moves over time and takes on a soft satin look, which a quick polish brings back to a high shine. It is also the best choice if you have sensitive skin.
Choosing your round diamond
Cut grade matters more on a round diamond than on any other shape, because the round is graded for cut. Choose Excellent or Very Good for the best sparkle. Because rounds hide colour and inclusions well, a G to H colour and SI1 clarity often looks just as good face up as a far pricier stone.

Every ring is made to order in our family workshop in Bourton-on-the-Water, where we have made fine jewellery since 1969. We use 100% recycled precious metal, every ring is independently hallmarked, and each one takes 3 to 4 weeks. Delivery is free across the UK, and returns are free within 30 days.
