A bridal set pairs your engagement ring with wedding bands made to fit around it, so the rings sit flush together.
The radiant cut diamond
The radiant has the cut corners of an emerald cut but brilliant facets inside, so it sparkles more than any other square or rectangular shape. The cut corners make it hard-wearing, and it comes square or elongated. The bands are shaped around the radiant centre stone so they sit flush against it.
Why a bridal set?
A bridal set is an engagement ring and wedding band made as a matching pair, so there are no gaps and no rubbing between them. Most of our sets use a jacket: two diamond-set bands that wrap around the engagement ring and frame the centre stone. Wear the engagement ring on its own until the wedding, then add the jacket on the day.
Why platinum?
We use 950 platinum, hallmarked in the UK. It is about 95% pure, so it is naturally white all the way through and never needs re-plating. It is heavier than gold and very hard-wearing: rather than wearing away, the metal moves over time and takes on a soft satin look, which a quick polish brings back to a high shine. It is also the best choice if you have sensitive skin.
Choosing your radiant diamond
Our diamond search splits radiants into square and elongated. A ratio of about 1.00 to 1.05 gives a square; 1.20 to 1.35 is a popular rectangle. The brilliant facets hide small inclusions well, so SI1 clarity often looks clean.
