Pear shape solitaire engagement rings, handmade to order by our family workshop in the Cotswolds and set with a diamond you choose yourself. The pear shape is a teardrop diamond, rounded at one end and pointed at the other, with plenty of sparkle. A solitaire holds one diamond on a clean band, so all the attention goes to the stone.

The pear shape diamond
The pear is a brilliant cut shaped like a teardrop. It mixes the sparkle of a round with the length of a marquise, so it looks larger than its weight and lengthens the finger. Most people wear it with the point towards the fingertip. With a pear diamond, a solitaire shows off the full outline of the stone.
Why a solitaire?
A solitaire is the purest engagement ring: one diamond on a plain band, with nothing to compete with the stone. It never dates, lets more light into the diamond than any other setting, and sits easily beside almost any wedding ring.
Choosing your pear diamond
A ratio between 1.45 and 1.75 gives the classic teardrop. Look for even, rounded shoulders and a bow tie that is faint rather than dark. The point is protected by a claw on all our pear settings.
Choose your own diamond
Every ring is set with a centre diamond you choose yourself, natural or lab-grown, from our live stock. Each stone has its grading report, and the ring page shows the finished price before you buy.

Frequently Asked Questions
Traditionally the point faces the fingertip, which makes the finger look longer. Some people prefer it the other way; just tell us when you order.
Yes. A plain wedding band sits neatly beside most solitaires, and if the setting sits low, a shaped band fits around it. Our wedding ring designer makes matching plain bands.
Yes. Every ring can be set with a natural or lab-grown diamond from our live stock. Both are real diamonds; lab-grown stones cost less for the same size and grade.
