A diamond band engagement ring sets a row of smaller diamonds along the band, so the ring sparkles at every angle. Choose a solitaire or halo centre, a pavé, grain-set or channel-set band, and a certified natural or lab-grown diamond. Every ring is handmade to order in our Cotswolds workshop.

What is a diamond band engagement ring?
It is an engagement ring with diamonds set along the band, usually across the top of the finger and sometimes further round. Compared with a plain-band solitaire, it adds sparkle and width; compared with shoulder set rings, the diamonds run further round the band.
Pavé, grain-set or channel-set?
Pavé and micro pavé bands set the diamonds close together, each held by tiny beads of metal, for an almost unbroken line of sparkle. Grain-set bands use small grains of metal raised over each stone for a hand-finished look. Channel-set bands hold the diamonds between two smooth walls of metal, which protects them well for everyday wear.
Solitaire or halo?
A solitaire centre on a diamond band keeps the look clean, with all the attention on one stone. A halo surrounds the centre diamond with a ring of smaller stones, and paired with a diamond band it gives the most sparkle of all. Halo rings with a diamond band are shown here and on our halo pages.
Pairing a wedding ring
A diamond band engagement ring sits well beside a plain or diamond-set wedding ring. If the centre setting sits low, a shaped band fits neatly alongside. You will also find matching engagement and wedding rings in our bridal ring sets.
Platinum or gold?
Platinum is naturally white and very hard-wearing, which keeps small band diamonds secure for longer. 18ct white, yellow and rose gold offer a warmer choice and a lower price. Read White Gold vs Platinum: The Ultimate Showdown.
